Biografie

Katie Gayle wurde in Kärnten geboren. Sie ging nach England, wo Sie zunächst an der „Epsom School of Art and Design“ Metall- und Schmuckkunst studierte und dann am „Royal College of Art“ in London ihren Master machte.  Sie stellte in vielen Gallerien in London aus und lebte und arbeitete auch weiterhin in der Weltmetropole. 1999 zog sie nach Devon, um an der Küste zu leben und sich neu inspirieren zu lassen. Sie wurde sowohl Mitglied der „Devon Guild of Craftsmen“ als auch der „Association of Contemporary Jewellers“. 2015 lebt sie wieder in Österreich.

Katie arbeitet hauptsächlich mit Silber, Gold und Platin. Alle ihre Designerstücke sind Unikate. Aufträge und spezielle Anfertigungen sieht Katie als besondere Herausforderungen, die sehr willkommen sind.

Katie bietet weiters Workshops für Einzelpersonen als auch Gruppen an. Ihre „Meadow Making Workshops“ sind von der Natur inspiriert, die sich in ihrer vollen Pracht gleich vor der Haustüre in Kärnten (Österreich) finden lässt. Besonders beliebt sind auch ihre Ehering-Workshops für alle Paare.

Biography

Katie Gayle was born in Carinthia, Austria. She moved to England to study Metalwork and Jewellery at Epsom School of Art and Design, after which she took a Master's degree at the Royal College of Art in London. Katie continued to live in London, exhibiting and selling her work in London Galleries and taking commissions. She relocated to Devon in 1999 to live by the coast, becoming a member of both the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and the Association of Contemporary Jewellers. Katie returned to Austria in 2015. Katie works mainly in Silver, Gold and Platinum. All her pieces are made to her own original designs by hand. She makes only one-off pieces and all commissions are welcome.

 

Katie offers workshops for groups. Her Meadow Making Workshops are inspired by a new range of work inspired by her return to Austria and the wonderful landscapes of Carinthia. Her Wedding Ring Workshops, for all couples, are especially popular.
